Walking route 9 km. We will carry out an interpretative route on foot (9km) to see Millenary Holm Oaks such as the Encina de la Peana, the largest tree (19 meters high) and one of the oldest in Andalusia.

The nature and environment of the Sierra de los Filabres that surrounds Serón are some of its main attractions. Its thousand-year-old trees are outstanding, such as the Encina de la Peana and the Marchal del Abogado. Both have been declared Natural Monuments by the Junta de Andalucía for their exceptional environmental values. The first is considered the largest tree in Andalusia, while the second stands out for its large size and the wide surface of its crown. No less important are the Lost Towns, such as the village of Los Canos, or the old mining town of Las Menas.

The Calar Alto Astronomical Observatory is the largest in continental Europe, and in Spain, after Tenerife. A privileged place to contemplate the Universe. Their telescopes have an aperture of up to 3.5 meters. It is a Spanish-German Astronomical Center, operated by the Institute of Astrophysics of Andalusia and the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy in Heidelberg.
