Discover the Calar Alto sky

Astronomical observation night activity with portable telescopes

Explore one of the darkest skies in Europe with our astronomers.

The Calar Alto observatory is located in a privileged place where the night sky is protected by law, since exceptional conditions exist here for its scientific study.

Taking advantage of these particular conditions, we offer you a special guided tour of the universe. Through the observation of the night sky, we will learn about the science that is carried out in the observatory so that we can reach a better understanding of the universe that surrounds us.

Content:

We will begin with an introductory talk at the observatory facilities, in which we will learn about astrophysics research from Calar Alto, followed by an interpreted observation of the night sky with portable telescopes in the surroundings of the observatory.

Approximate duration:

3 hours

Price:

€36 per person, with a minimum group of 10 and a maximum of 15. Single price.
