Description

We begin our itinerary from the square of the town hall towards the hermitage of the Santo Cristo del Bosque, we will cross the Barrancón River to begin our climb between almond trees through the Huerta de la Loma area. On our way up we will be able to enjoy the views of Bacares in an idyllic setting until we reach the Collado de la Iglesia, the highest point of the route, where we will leave the main track to go to Cortijo El Carrascal. This farmhouse that has a threshing floor, is located in the middle of the path, being a strategic point with wonderful views.

From this point we will continue along a path that will take us into the Hernando Ravine, of incredible beauty, to cross the Barrancón River again, next to the Cortijo El Toril Bajo in ruins, in the Solanilla area.

We go around the ravine along a path that we take next to the Cortijo, until we come to a track that will lead us back to the town of Bacares, passing through the places of Las Cruces and El Calvario, and thus, finally, descending along a path towards the location.

Note: At the beginning of the route and going down to the Barrancón River, the PR trail was momentarily abandoned for part of the Barrancón River bank. Later on he returned to the official path of the Carrascal.
