Village located in the Sierra de las Estancias at high altitude, with a rich cultural and natural heritage, is a very good choice as an inland destination. One of the most emblematic buildings is the magnificent Basilica de la Virgen de la Mercedes, in the Baroque style. They complete the religious patrimony of Oria: the Ermita Vieja, the Hermitage of San Gregorio, patron saint of the municipality and an extensive legacy of the Arab period, such as its Fortress, several watchtowers, located on the Rambla de Oria and the Villar neighborhood, whose surroundings are the remains of the Castillo de la Balsa Vieja and the Fort of Olías. This last construction preserves several canvases of crenellated wall.
