NIGHT OF THE PLANETS, APPROACH OF MARS
Great night for observing the planets: Venus, Saturn, Neptune, Jupiter, Uranus and Mars. Venus and Saturn in a beautiful close approach (conjunction), although Saturn, very far away, with little brightness and its rings almost in profile, but still visible. Jupiter spectacular as always, with its Galilean moons, and at the end of the night, we will be able to enjoy the transit of the Great Red Spot and an eclipse of the moon Io. Venus with a beautiful waning quarter phase. And Mars, the red planet, at its best time of the year, at opposition, at its closest approach to the Earth this year. Uranus and Neptune, far away, can be seen as small greenish and bluish discs respectively, tiny, but cute 🙂 The venue in a superb setting.
The venue is unbeatable, on the peaks of the Sierra de los Filabres, COLD, YES BUT THE BEST SKIES! So you have to come well prepared for it (see below).
In addition to the bodies of the Solar System, we will of course enjoy the constellations and some fascinating objects such as the Orion Nebula and the Andromeda Galaxy, and all this with the LARGEST PORTABLE TELESCOPE IN ALMERIA.
Small groups! Exquisite treatment!
