The fair will take place from 29 October to 3 November, preceded by a range of pre-fair activities starting on Saturday 24 October with Rock Albox and the ‘Coco and Pepe Sing-Along’, as well as the Halloween Fancy Dress Competition on Wednesday 28 October.
The main new feature of the All Saints’ Fair will be the addition of a Youth Tent with a dedicated programme of DJs and themed parties, thereby expanding the range of nightlife options and providing a dedicated space for young people to enjoy the Fair. DJs such as “Josu Balladares, Pepelu López, Yeieme, Juanma Flores, Santi, P. Rivas and DJ Franpa” will be performing there, as well as the themed party ‘La casita de lo perreo’.
The official opening of the fair will take place on Thursday 29 October, with the fair’s lights being switched on at 8.30 pm. Afterwards, the Caseta Municipal will host the official opening address by CD Villa de Albox and the coronation gala, one of the main events of the opening day.
On Friday 30 October, one of the most eagerly awaited concerts will take place, featuring a performance by Siempre Así at the Caseta de las Cofradías. The programme at this same venue includes performances by groups such as Los Lagartos, Rumba Kimbao, El Legado, Los Bigardos and Por un Puñado de Tercios, who will be performing every day of the fair.
The Almanzora, Liverpool and El Norte orchestras, alongside the Almanzora and Alboria trios, will round off the musical line-up throughout the six days of the fair. In addition, there will be DJ sets and dance performances by the local groups Virgen del Saliente and Danza Fusión.
On Saturday 31 October, comedian Manolo Sarria will perform his show at 10.00 pm at the Caseta Municipal. On Monday 2 November, Children’s Day will be celebrated with attractions at reduced prices throughout the day. In addition, from 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm, there will be an ‘inclusive hour’, with steady lighting and low volume, to ensure that more children can enjoy the attractions.
Younger children will also be able to take part in an afternoon of traditional children’s games, scheduled to begin at 4.00 pm next to the play centre, which will be open from Friday to Monday, from 4.00 pm to 10.00 pm, next to the Municipal Marquee.
On the same day, older residents will have a special programme of events, including the traditional free afternoon tea at the Municipal Marquee and a performance by Jairo Cuevas, known for his appearance on the programme *Se llama Copla*. On Tuesday, Senior Citizens’ Day will be celebrated, featuring the traditional community paella and sweet treats from 2.00 pm.
The All Saints’ Fair will retain its most time-honoured events, with a special focus on the Cattle Fair and the Partridge Bird Fair, the Partridge Bird Competition, the ‘Motoalmuerzo’, and the traditional ribbon-chasing horse race.
