Oil Interpretation Centre – Suflí

We invite you to visit the Olive Oil Interpretation Centre in Suflí (Almería). This interpretation centre is located in an old restored olive mill, where you can contemplate the process of grinding and squeezing the olives to obtain the oil.

In ancient times, mankind began to put all his ingenuity into the cultivation of the olive tree, the harvesting of its fruit and the extraction of the oil. From the most primitive systems to the current ones, there is a wide range of techniques to obtain more and better oil. The Suflí Town Council will show you the process of oil production in our region, as the centre has a free audio guide that explains the oil production process in 6 steps.

To visit the centre it is necessary to request it at the Town Hall as it is usually closed. The visit is free of charge.
