Cerrá of Tíjola

The Cerra of Tíjola is an impressive natural setting. Until you’re inside, you can’t imagine it. The tall and vertical stone-cut that box the Bacares River in its descent from the Sierra de los Filabres towards the Almanzora Valley, create a scenario more typical of northern mountain ranges.

To visit the Cerrá you can go up from the hermitage of El Salvador (Tíjola), there is a path that leads along the river to get into the Cerrá and enjoy this wonder. You have a multitude of tracks, especially Wikiloc, to make circular trails and enjoy this beautiful natural setting.
