27th Tíjola Poetry Competition 2025

The awards ceremony will take place on 15 September 2025, coinciding with the patron saint festivities of the Virgen del Socorro.

The deadline for submissions is 31 August 2025, and no originals will be accepted after that date.

There are four categories for submitting originals.

First Category, national in scope: For any adult, there is a single prize of 500 euros, publication of the original and a certificate of accreditation.

Second Category, local: For any adult resident or native of Tíjola, there are three prizes of 300 euros, 200 euros and 100 euros, publication of the original and a certificate for the first, second and third winning poems respectively.

Third Category, local: Aimed at students in years 1, 2, 3 and 4 of E.S.O. (compulsory secondary education), who may participate by choosing any of the following options: poetry, narrative (maximum length of 5 single-sided pages) or illustrated text. Three prizes of 50 euros, publication of the original and a certificate will be awarded to the first, second and third winners respectively.

Fourth Category, local: Open to students in 5th and 6th year of primary school, who may participate by choosing any of the following options: poetry, narrative (maximum length of 5 single-sided pages) or illustrated text. Three prizes of 50 euros, publication of the original work and a certificate will be awarded to the first, second and third winners respectively.
