MUSEUM CASA IBAÑEZ

The Casa Ibáñez Museum is one of the largest collections of Contemporary Art of Andalusia. Created by Andrés García Ibáñez (Olula del Río, 1971), a young and valued painter in contemporary Realism, it was inaugurated in November 2004. Since then, it has become the most significant cultural endowment in Almanzora and one of the most representative of the Spanish Southeast.

Inside you can admire works by Joaquin Sorolla, Francisco de Goya, Antonio López, Andrés García Ibáñez, Capulet, Madrazo, Ignacio Zuloaga, etc.

The museum is part of the Andalusian Register of Museums of the Ministry of Culture of the Junta de Andalucía.

MUSEUM OF THE PHOTOGRAPHY PEREZ SIQUIER

The museum of photography “Pérez Siquier” is a tribute to Carlos Pérez Siquier who has donated most of the work that the museum contains.

Carlos Pérez Siquier (Almería, 1930) is considered one of the pioneers of the photographic avant-garde in Spain and National Photography Prize in 2003. He is a Supernumerary Academician of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Our Lady of Sorrows in Granada.

It is the first museum in Spain dedicated to one of our great classic photographers. The 550m2 building houses five rooms around the original prototype of the monumental sculpture by Antonio López “Mujer de Coslada”. Mythical collections are exhibited such as: La Chanca in black and white, La Chanca in color, La Playa in the 70s, Color of the South and in the open-air patio the most abstract work by Pérez Siquier.

SCULPTURE IN MARBLE OF ANTONIO LOPEZ “MUJER DEL ALMANZORA”

Antonio Lopez with this sculpture of 8 meters high wanted to make a recognition to the women of Almanzora. Under the huge sculpture in Marmol de Macael there is a room where you can see how this sculpture was made and built.
