The path begins in El Marchal del Abogado, about 9 km from Serón along the A-1178 road to Las Menas. Here we can already enjoy a great holm oak such as the “Carrasca de La Poza”. We will come out next to a corral to a track that we will follow to the right until we reach the crossroads with La Loma that we will leave to go towards Cortijo del Pocico. We follow the track until we reach a pond where, after passing it, we turn left to enter a path inside a native piece of Mediterranean holm-oak forest with a varied undergrowth. Here the old path by which people used to go from Cortijo del Pocico to Cortijo del Serbal has been recovered. This is taking a bit of height until coming out to some plains and a track where we will have the option of going up to see the star of the crown of the trail as it is the Millenary Holm Oak called “La Peana” which is considered the most monumental in Andalusia. .

We return to the plain to enter a repopulated pine forest, leaving the crossroads towards La Loma on our left. We are going to ascend the track through a varied holm oak grove where we can enjoy a few other holm oaks of considerable size. We go out to Los Sapos, where there is also another singular holm oak, we turn left and go down shortly towards El Cortijuelo, arriving at the La Loma district with its Church of San Miguel from the late s. XIX. After this we find another large holm oak with its own name such as “Las Trébedes”, with its famous three legs. A little further down we will take a path, at the beginning of it we will have the option of visiting the La Loma Cemetery, unique in the entire sierra, to return here again to take this old path, now recovered, which linked La Loma with El Marchal del Lawyer of which there are still some cobbled sections. Now we are going downhill observing a varied landscape taking the Barranco del Fargalí to our right. We will go out to a small hole through which we will return to the Marchal after having enjoyed some unique holm oaks of the species “Quercus ilex subsp. ballot”.
