ROUTE

This route runs along the northern slopes of the Sierra de los Filabres. It starts at the Rambla de Almería, next to the football pitch, and passes through the Gevas area, a place that is much visited for its beauty. Following the marked indications and after passing the Municipal Swimming Pool, the Sports City of the Moorish Games and the Rural Accommodation, we continue our ascent along the forest path. Continuing our walk we will reach a crossroads where several routes converge; we will leave the forest path to reach the path known as “Estrechicos” (popularly known as “el camino de las Burras”), we will follow it in the direction of “paraje de Gevas”, where Route 3 crosses.

In Gevas there is a centuries-old olive grove and a drinking water fountain. A stop here is a must: to recharge your batteries and to drink from its crystal-clear waters. After this stop on the path, we turn off to the left over the Rambla de Gevas until the end of the path; we cross the reed bed and enter the Rambla; following its course we will reach a crossroads where we will see a chain that we will cross.
