The town of Macael will host the 6th Amigos Sierra de los Filabres Half Marathon, the fourth scoring round of the 2026 Almería XCM Mountain Bike Series. Get ready for a challenging loop course through the distinctive natural landscape of the Sierra de los Filabres, combining tracks, riverbeds and technical sections. Key Details: Date: Saturday, 18 April 2026. Start and finish location: Avenida Paco Cosentino (Bulevar Baticano), Macael. Timetable: Start at 9:30 am. Race number collection and licence verification will take place from 7:30 am to 8:30 am. Route: 43.5 kilometres (maximum race time of 5 hours). Organised by: C.D. Amigos Sierra de los Filabres. The race will start the next day at 8:00 a.m. There are three different race categories: – CAR 150: The queen distance changes much of the route to make it even more spectacular, seeking the limit with the Sierra de Baza Natural Park (Granada) and then crowning the Calar Alto Astronomical Observatory, at 2,160 metres above sea level.
