Once again I am back in contact with you for the NEW ENGLISH SUMMER CAMP at the Posada del Candil in JULY 2024.
This year 2024 we present ELEMENTS OF SERÓN, a week of FELLOWSHIP, ENGLISH, games in NATURE, workshops ALL HANDMADE, where your TALENTS, those that often you don’t even know well, WILL SHINE.
A week of NIGHT GAMES, of SLEEPING UNDER THE STARS, of LIVING back to NATURE, taking care of an ECOLOGICAL GARDEN and from THE GARDEN TO THE TABLE a COOKING WORKSHOP in a big way with all your companions.
And look at the sky with the TELESCOPES…
Our mission is that you AWAKEN your NATURE INTELLIGENCE, that you HAVE FUN IN TEAM, a CHALLENGE and a GREAT ADVENTURE surrounded by those who already are or will be your BEST FRIENDS in a time and place that will be unforgettable.
And now, without further ado, I PRESENT to you the CAMPS of the Posada del Candil 2024 “ELEMENTS OF SERÓN”. An experience in which our little backpackers will come only with their personal belongings in their backpacks, when they finish their stay there will be no room left for them, as they will be full of adventures, experiences and memories of their stay in our particular trip.

PRESENTATION
La Posada del Candil has been carrying out successful Educational Experiences for children and teenagers since 2009. Our results and our experience are at your disposal.

Our aim is that during your stay to have an experience of Nature, Sustainability and Solidarity in the Almanzora Valley and the Sierra de Filabres.
That you enjoy and learn by doing, overcoming challenges and living these moments intensely with your companions.
To contribute with a high impact experience to develop a conscience for an ECOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT “good for me, good for you, good for Nature”.

VALUES
We seek a close relationship with our participants and their families. We do NOT overcrowd our camps.
We are located in a privileged enclave in the town of Serón, about 85 km from Almería.
La Posada del Candil (www.laposadadelcandil.com) is an ecological and sustainable ECO RESORT, which has all the comforts for an optimal stay.
Our camps are staffed 24 hours a day by a team of monitors who will look after the wellbeing of the participants at all times and who will try to create a warm, dynamic, happy and participative atmosphere through teamwork, emotional management and cooperation, encouraging creativity and imagination, as well as education in personal, social and environmental values.
We have civil liability insurance and our facilities are located in a town with 24-hour emergency medical services.
Our programme of activities includes adventure activities, water games in the salt water pool, big games at night, cooperative proposals, assemblies based on emotional intelligence and workshops on interaction with nature, the vegetable garden and cooking, among others.
DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES
WORKSHOPS, SPORTS ACTIVITIES and NIGHT WATCHES
ASTRONOMS for a night: an astrophysicist uses powerful telescopes to help us discover the secrets of the distant Universe. And you can see it with your own eyes.
Hotel of the 1,000 stars: you can live the incredible experience of SLEEPING under the starry sky of the Sierra de los Filabres, where the largest continental observatory in Europe “Calar Alto” is located.
Healthy cooking: Our trainees will learn how to prepare cookies and energy bars for their hikes.
Cooperative and environmental awareness games (Bio-Party, natural dyes, guided face painting…).
Natural bee candle workshop (The world of bees and the uses and properties of their panels).
Eco Paintball (Win the paint battle with natural dyes).
Workshop “The vegetable garden, where does the food from the supermarket come from?”.
Workshop “Grandma’s soap” (Making soap in the traditional way, using reused material and from the environment.
The art of finding your way with a map (Learning to use a map, knowing where we are and how to get around thanks to it).
NIGHT EVENINGS: Finding the sounds of nature at night, The Great Game of Hide and Seek, Summer Cinema, Fancy Dress Party…).
ASSEMBLIES: the time to talk freely and prepare the setting up of the camp life for the next day.
GREAT ACTIVITIES
EXPEDITION TO OUR SUMMIT (going into the Sierra, awakening our senses to observation, discovering the traces of our ancestors, dwellings, learning about the plants they used, working in teams…).
PREPARE FOR THE CHALLENGE (We will introduce our “Elements of Serón” aspirants to the world of climbing, abseiling and zip lines, before the day of the adventure).
THE ADVENTURE DAY (Interactive trekking to connect with the rock climbing that will take us to one of the highest points of the Sierra de los Filabres)
DEL HUERTO A TU COCINA (by teams to prepare two recipes, savoury and sweet, in one hour with the products and materials we give you. Jury, tasting, organic products Km0, tasty, tasty and healthy).
ASTRONOMIST FOR ONE NIGHT The mysteries of the Deep Universe will be explained to us and through the largest portable telescopes you will be able to see them yourself.

Shift 1: 30 JUNE – 6 JULY
Shift 2: 7th JULY TO 13th JULY
PRICES AND BOOKING CONDITIONS
10% discount for siblings or bookings made before 1 May 2024.
Cancellations can be made up to 72 hours before the start date of the camp shift you have chosen.
Therefore, in case of cancellation before 72 hours before the start date of the camp, we will refund all amounts paid in full.
